Manual Handling Industry-Approved Course

It is now a legal requirement for all companies and businesses to provide manual handling training for their employees. According to The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Applications) Regulations 2007, employees must receive training in manual handling techniques at least once every three years.

 

Course Content:

  • Statistics

  • Manual handling and the law

  • Anatomy of the spine

  • Manual handling injuries

  • The 8 principles of manual handling

  • Manual handling risk assessment

  • Manual handling of practical sessions

 

Qualification Achieved:

Upon completion of this training, Sheila O’Driscoll Safety Training will award the Manual Handling Certification.

 

Course Duration: 3 hours

 

Refresher Training:

The certificate is valid for 3 years. The course includes a combination of theory and elements of classroom-based practical work.
